Grantseeker Features
The Common Grant Application is a full featured and complete common application and grant management system. The
following services and features are available to grantseekers:
Manage LOIs, grant applications, grants and grant reports
Manage your LOIs, applications, grants and grant reports from one place.
Manage information for your organization and for a single
program, different versions of the same program or multiple, different
programs. Each program may be edited and maintained separately from
all other programs. Re-use the same information for different
grantmakers or use different information for different grantmakers.
Submit LOIs and applications to one or more grantmakers.
Information and changes in status are available to the grantseeker in real-time.
Control the privacy and sharing of your information. Export information to other systems as needed.
Submit LOIs
Some, but not all, grantmaker's may require a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) before an application
may be submitted. A grantseeker creates an LOI by
selecting a program and a grantmaker. The system automatically binds together
contact information, summary program information and other information you may provide in response to the
grantmaker's LOI guidelines into an LOI that is submitted
to the selected grantmaker. The LOI and its supporting documents are viewable online by Web browser. If
the LOI is approved by the grantmaker, then an application may be submitted.
Submit applications
Grantseekers may enter their organizational and program information in any order and over
any time frame they wish. The information may be reused and does not need to
be re-entered for each application. A grantseeker creates an application by
selecting a program and a grantmaker. The system automatically binds together
the organization and program information into an application that is submitted
to the selected grantmaker. The application and its supporting documents are viewable online by Web browser.
Submit grant reports
At the time a grantmaker approves an application they can specify whether or
not a grant report is required at the completion of the grant. The grantseeker
may upload and submit one or more grant reports (e.g. interim, end of year, final)
for each application. The grantmaker is informed as these reports are received.
The grant reports are
viewable online by Web browser.
Generate and export or print various reports
An integrated and extensive set of real-time viewable general and detailed reports
and summaries are available. These reports and summaries are viewable online by Web
browser and may also be exported.
All applications and their supporting documents are also viewable online
by Web browser and exportable. Information may be exported in the Excel format
for use by other commercial and custom software applications or business
information systems.
Review real-time status updates.
Monitor and review detailed real-time status information about the account, LOIs, applications,
grants and grant reports.
The system generates a number of automatic emails, depending on settings configured by the
grantseeker, to alert the grantseeker to any changes in status.

LOI Questions
The LOI consists of a simple set of questions that include individual and organization
contact information and summary program information.
The grantmaker may also provide a set of LOI questions and guidelines that the grantseeker can then respond
to in a free-form text format or by uploading supporting documents.
The application consists of standard and supplemental questions.
Save time. The information and documents you provide is saved, and can be re-used for multiple applications.
The standard questions are fixed and cannot be changed. The supplemental questions are configurable
and can be specified by the grantmaker. Grantseekers can also upload documents about their organization and
programs.
