The mission of the Newell Rubbermaid Foundation is to help individuals to flourish in communities where they live, learn work and play. We pursue our mission by supporting access to quality education, organizational effectiveness and by scaling proven solutions.
In 2007, Newell Rubbermaid announced a new philanthropy program called Investing in Community that supported students and adults success in school and in work. From 2007-2011, Investing in Community (IIC) included the company's corporate contributions program and employee volunteerism activities. In 2011, the company launched the Newell Rubbermaid Foundation. The Foundation is the primary vehicle for the company's philanthropic efforts and invests in educational organizations particularly in the regions in which Newell Rubbermaid operates.
