• Mission:

New Dawn Livestock Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of abused, neglected, abandoned, unwanted, injured, retired, slaughter-bound horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, llamas, emus, poultry and fowl. New Dawn is also certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a wildlife habitat.

• History:

Organized in 2002, New Dawn is an all volunteer, no kill, livestock rescue/sanctuary. Currently, we care for 125+ animals. We received our 501c3 status in March, 2003. On May 23, 2007, we were approved as a public charity.
Noreen and Steve Carayas are the founders and we currently have 77 volunteers that help with all the work.
