Our mission is to prepare the next generation of children and youth with faith based values, educational support, mentors and positive role models. We seek to devote our time and talents to bring about positive change to our community and in the lives of the “at- risk” children and youth we serve.
- History:
The Westmoreland Children & Youth Association, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 community based service organization founded in 2009 and committed to improving the quality of life for the children of Portsmouth. The Association finds it necessary to provide this service to protect and safeguard our children from gang violence, from gang affiliations and drugs. The Westmoreland Children & Youth Association, Inc. is comprised of community leaders that have committed to sponsor Youth Baseball, Flag Football and Cheerleading as a way to keep our youth engaged in positive activities and teach values that will serve them in their futures. In addition, we provide mentoring for the participants and others in our community to ensure their understanding and appreciation of basic values, team work, and community service and character development.
