• History:

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi began as a small private college 60 years ago. Today the Island University provides bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs and has a student body of over 10,000 students. Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is a designated Hispanic Serving Institution with 37% Hispanic enrollment and is an emerging research center with two doctoral programs in Marine System Science and Marine Biology. Our supportive, multicultural learning community provides undergraduate and graduate students with a challenging educational experience. Our strategic location on the Gulf of Mexico and on the cultural border with Latin America provides a basis for gaining national and international prominence. The University provides significant administrative and information technology support to environmental projects.
