The Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh (BGCO) was established in 1970 and recently celebrated 40 years of service to the youth of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Our mission, to improve the lives of children and families, is well supported in the communities we serve. Our facility for teens, "The Club, is one of the most recognized top-class facilities in the area for youth. In addition to "The Club", the Radford Center, and 7 after school sites, the Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh also encompasses a self-funded "Tri-County" unit in Berlin serving Green Lake, Waushara and Marquette Counties. 39 active Board members, 13 full time staff, 35 part time staff, and several hundred volunteers work throughout the year to assist with delivering our programming and execution of a number of special events. The Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh also owns and operates a 45 acre day camp site -- Camp Radford. It is available for day and overnight camping and features swimming, hiking, crafts, nature study and a lodge. Our professional staff, safe facilities, and dynamic programs provide every young person with the sense of competence, belonging, usefulness and worth.
Dedicated to building positive self-identity, critical thinking abilities, and leadership skills for those who need us the most; our programming focuses on five essential service areas of:
• character and leadership development
• education and career development
• health and life skills
• arts and cultural education
• sports, fitness and recreation.
