• Mission:

The mission of the Friedman & Friends Education Fund is to provide opportunity to disadvantaged high school seniors by helping them obtain funding for their college education. We also aim to encourage and support the growth and development of our youth in order to ensure that will become viable contributing members of society.

Through our community of contributors our program offers continual support throughout undergraduate studies, mentoring and guidance counseling, and provides valuable networking opportunities for the students with individuals who represent the field of their choice.

While speaking with his children’s college counselor on their current status and making sure they were in the right classes, David Friedman asked if there was anything he could do to help. The counselor responded by handing him a stack of applications from current seniors who needed financial assistance for college. After reading all of the applications several time David decided to sponsor not one but three students. But this wouldn’t be just a one time donation; he also agreed to continue to support the students throughout their academic careers. Realizing that he needed more resources in order to support the number of students applying each year, David reached out to his friends and loved ones to support this cause and this was the start of Friedman & Friends Education Fund. The fund has gone on to support over 100 students since its founding year of 1999. And every year since then the number of contributors and supporters has grown with the increase of need for the students.
