2000 Feet, Inc. is committed to the well-being of less fortunate school-age children who need a pair of shoes, mostly for school and everyday living.

Believing in the importance of healthy feet, our organizational mission is to purchase adequate new shoes for underprivileged school-age children and distribute written information on healthy feet development of children to the parents. 2000 Feet, Inc. collaborates with school counselors, social service agencies and community outreach programs to identify children who need shoes.

Our goal is to improve the physical and psychosocial development of children

• History:

Elinor Nelson founded June, 2000 so that children and youth can attend school in comfort and with dignity. Inadequate or poorly fitted shoes have an adverse impact on children’s physical health and their psychosocial well-being. However, getting fitted for a new pair of shoes always puts a smile on a child’s face and boosts their self-esteem. Also, kids will focus on their studies rather than their circumstances when their basic needs are met.
