  • JFCS is a non-sectarian organization whose mission is to help individuals, couples and families face life's challenges through the provision of a wide variety of social services, mental health programs and protective services. JFCS serves a multi-ethnic mix of clients across all religious, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, throughout the life span, from birth to death. JFCS's top priorities are to strengthen individuals and families through the provision of quality programs and services while providing exemplary volunteer and professional leadership.

  • JFCS is a non-sectarian multi-service agency, providing counseling, care-management, financial assistance, career counseling, community education, and support services.

    Since the mid 1990's the agency has expanded to serve the most culturally diverse community in the entire nation. Our work impacts the lives of people in our community throughout the life span, from birth to death. Over the last 50 years, JFCS has grown from serving hundreds to serving thousands in the
    community, throughout the life span, from birth to death. In the 1950's JFCS had one full-time professional social worker.

    Today JFCS has a full-time staff of 9 complimented by 5 independent clinicians and consultants, with 27 to 30 (at any given time) graduate and post-graduate intern associates, and an additional 98 volunteers providing both direct and indirect services to benefit the community. JFCS utilizes the expertise of highly trained clinicians: Licensed Clinical Social Workers,
    Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Masters of Gerontology (and other aging specialists), a career counselor, and a consulting psychiatrist for medication evaluation. The agency is led by 23 volunteer Board of Directors, who serve on a variety of committees that advance the mission of the organization. JFCS's board is comprised of business leaders, educators, experts in legal, finance and medicine, as well as social work and psychiatry.
