North Side Housing & Supportive Services mission is to end homelessness by providing housing and comprehensive supportive services. Our vision is positively impact social and economic conditions which cause homelessness.
- History:
North Side was established in 1983 as Lakeview Shelter to provide temporary housing for men and women who were homeless in the community. Since that time, the agency has developed into a comprehensive social services agency that provides six programs: 44 units of permanent supportive housing, an emergency overnight shelter, on-site healthcare program, community-based intensive case management program, social enterprise employment program and a community food pantry.
All of our programs are designed to help end homelessness in the lives of men who are homeless, ages 18 and older to help them achieve housing stability and self-sufficiency.
