The Women's Crisis & Family Outreach Center (WCFOC) is dedicated to reducing domestic violence and family conflict through advocacy, empowerment, violence prevention and intervention, services and education.
- History:
Incorporated in 1985, the Women’s Crisis & Family Outreach Center (WCFOC) was founded by a small group of concerned neighbors who recognized the need for services for victims of domestic violence in what were then mostly rural areas of central Colorado. The WCFOC now serves the rural, suburban, and urban areas of Douglas, Elbert, Lincoln and Cheyenne Counties and the eastern plains of Colorado. We are the only shelter facility between Denver and Colorado Springs.
