Kids & Horses Therapeutic Riding Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was formed in 1999 in Incline Village, Nevada by Sam Waldman. The Kids & Horses program is operated at the Double W Ranch in Minden, Nevada. Kids & Horses Therapeutic Riding Center is a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, Inc.) Premier Accredited Center, and is the only NARHA Premier Accredited Center in Northern Nevada. The facilities at the ranch include both a covered arena and an outdoor arena with a loading ramp and viewing stands. Also utilized is a sensory course, which employs different surfaces, colors, signs and other sensory-related features.
