  • Mission:
  • We are here to help Provide Assistance and Programs to help Individuals and families go from "In-Crisis" to "Self-Sufficiency"

  • History:
  • Consolidated Agencies of Human Services(CAHS) has been serving Mineral County for thirty-four (34) years and each year (CAHS) provide and or make available over forty (40) difference services in Mineral County and other counties. Mineral County is very unique in we are the only county in Nevada where the Social Services is not county but ran by Non-Profit. The services include but not just limited to assistant with rent, utilities, food pantry and Back-Pack programs. Mineral County is a very rural/frontier and very limited funds to provide programs for youths and for children from violent homes. The need for jobs is still in very high demand. This demand can and has exposed Children in Mineral County to experience family violence. They are more likely to develop social, emotional, psychological, and or behavioral problems than those who are not. Recent research indicates that children who witness domestic violence show more anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, anger. Children react to their environment in different ways, and reactions can vary depending on the child's gender and age.
CAHS has experience that children who witness domestic violence show more anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, anger and temperament problems than children who do not witness violence in the home. The trauma they have experience can show up in emotional, behavioral, social, and physical disturbances that effect their development and can continue into adulthood and temperament problems than children who do not witness violence in the home.
Individual family members such as children are not being educated nor is awareness being introduced at a younger age to help with the services that can assist them through the fight against violence in the family. These children are labeled and marked as Bullies, Bad, Unruly and have emotional outburst for No apparent reason.
