  • Mission:
  • To provide an Equine Assisted Growth & Learning Program, as well as Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, to youth, families, couples or individuals, needing treatment for emotional issues, plus life skills training for disadvantaged youth.

Our vision at Camp Catch-A-Dream is to impact the lives of those we serve through our equine assisted activities in a dramatic and positive way. Services provided to children, youth, adults and military families, include but are not limited to, those who have emotional or physical disabilities, may be in need of employability skills and families involved in the dependency or delinquency systems.

  • History:
  • Camp Catch-A-Dream, Inc. was forunded in January of 2004 and was located in Tallahassee, FL. By June, 2004 we were conducting a summer riding program/camp for emotionally, physically and financially disadvantaged youth. In September, 2004 we relocated to Sopchoppy, FL. The next summer [2005], we were contracted to do a 2-week riding camp for 5 Children’s Medical Services clients. By 2008, our mission & vision became a reality when we received a contract to begin an Equine Assisted Growth & Learning program for the Liberty County School Board and a Department of Juvenile Justice level 6 [court ordered] residential program, which house youth ages 13-18. Our programs were considered to have had a positive effect by those who were working with the youth on a daily basis. However, the economic downturn halted our programs. For the past two years we have volunteered our facility to the Wakulla High School Exceptional Student Education Program, as a work site to assist the students in gaining work experience.
