  • The mission of Clayton County Family Care is to provide short term financial assistance and promote future self sufficiency for Clayton County residents.

  • Overview:
  • Clayton County Family Care offers an emergency assistance program for local families to receive support toward rent, mortgage, utility and food needs. A prescription assistance program is offered to families to offset the costs of vital medications for high blood pressure, diabetes and asthma medications. CCFC also has a vital records program that gives individuals that are homeless an opportunity to receive free birth certificates, identifications and mail service through the agency. Finally, Clayton County Family Care offers a mandatory weekly financial assistance classes to these indivduals who make use of the emergency financial assistance program.

  • Incepted in 1952, Clayton County Family Care (CCFC) was established after a local elementary school Principal E.W. Oliver desired a way to respond to the increasing needs of students and their families who did not have the means to pay household utilities, groceries or vital prescriptions.
