  • Mission:
  • The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County is to enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

  • Overview:
  • Boys & Girls Club of Collier County provides academic and personal enrichment activities for young people through after-school and summer programs. We provide a line-up of tested and proven nationally recognized programs that help youth build self-esteem and vital life skills while addressing today’s most pressing issues.

Everything we do at the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County is focused on helping our members achieve three goals. We are committed to ensuring that all Club members achieve:

    • Academic Success (graduating from high school ready to pursue college, trade school, the military or employment)
    • Good Character & Citizenship (becoming an engaged citizen, registering to vote, and exhibiting honesty and good character)
    • Healthy Lifestyles (committing to healthy lifestyle choices, avoiding risky behaviors and exhibiting a lifelong commitment ot fitness)

Youth programming is provided in the areas of Education & Career Development, Character & Leadership, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, Sports & Fitness, and Technology. Our comprehensive approach to learning and growth helps young people to become confident, well-rounded and productive citizens.

Youth aged 6 to 18 (1st through 12th grade) are served. 89% of the young people we serve in Collier County are minority students (primarily Hispanic and secondarily Haitian). 85% receive free or reduced-price lunches at school, indicating low-income status. We are working every day to inspire young people who have many challenges in front of them to beat the odds and find success and happiness in life.

  • History:
  • Since our inception in 1991, the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County has been the only academically-based youth development program in Collier County. Originally serving around 35 children a day in two rented classrooms, the Club now provides award-winning programming to more than 2,000 youth annually. We operate a 10-acre main campus in Naples and three school-based sites, including two school sites in Immokalee, the county's poorest migrant community. We are making plans to construct a permanent facility in Immokalee by 2014. Since our beginning, we have helped more than 12,000 youth to achieve academic and personal success.
