  • Mission:
  • CASA provides a powerful voice for youth in the child welfare system through a unique one-on-one relationship with trained and supervised court appointed volunteer advocates. We work to ensure that these youth are safe, have a permanent home and an opportunity to thrive.

  • Overview:
  • Located in the City of Santa Ana, CASA of Orange County is one of over 950 CASA programs throughout the nation that work with the most difficult abuse cases in the child welfare system. CASA of Orange County is the only organization to advocate for and mentor youth in Orange County’s overburdened Juvenile Dependency System. Orange County’s Juvenile Court Judges depend on the critical information CASA volunteers provide, in order to make the best possible decisions on behalf of these vulnerable foster youth.

Our Mentor-Advocate Program is the foundation from which all of our other program enhancements are developed. We provide educational advocacy, support for children with special education needs; emancipation services, efforts to prepare these youth for their eventual independence; and Family Connections, or family finding services. Out of all the CASA programs nationwide, we are known as experts in the area of Family Connections, due to our record success.

  • History:
  • Founded by the Orange County Junior League in, 1985, CASA of Orange County has recruited, trained and supervised thousands of community volunteers to serve as advocates and mentors for thousands of abused and neglected children in our community. Our volunteer advocates form one-on-one relationships with the children they serve and are often the only consistent adult influence for children who may change foster care placements, schools and social workers several times in a year.
