  • Mission:
  • Our mission is to provide educational resources to people whose lives have been interrupted by some unforeseen disaster.

  • Overview:
  • In general we help anyone who has decided that improving their reading, writing, and spelling skills will help them to improve their lives without regard to age, race, religion, sexual orientation, or nationality. To this end, BabblingBrook Family Learning Center is president and founder, Naimah Allatef's, way of repaying all those that helped her and her children to make it when she was homeless with three little children from 1985 to 1988.

  • History:
  • After being homeless of and on from 1985 to 1988 with three young children, Naimah Allateef, president and founder of BabblingBrook Family Learning Center, continued her education and would earn, mostly through home study, an Associates degree in Small Business Management (International Correspondence School) and a Bachelor of Science degree in General Business (Excelsior College). She would then go on to earn a Master of Education in Adult and Organization Learning (Suffolk University), a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies (American International College), and a Master of Education: Curriculum and Instruction (Grand Canyon University Online). BabblingBrook started off as the charity side of Just-In-Time Wordprocessing and Typing Service, a home-based business. She studied the Spalding Reading Method two summers (1998 and 2000) in New York City. For fourteen years, Naimah has provided one-on-one tutoring to all ages. She has met in the homes of her students; at public libraries; even at McDonalds. Finally, BabblingBrook has an office at 154 Maverick Street, Room 205, in East Boston, Masaachusetts that will open sometime in May.
