    CCC Foundation
    The mission of the CCC Foundation is to promote the purposes and goals of Coconino Community College, thereby enhancing the opportunities of Coconino County residents.

  • Overview:
  • Just ranked as one of the fastest growing community colleges in the country by Community College Week, CCC was ranked No. 30 on the list of 50 community colleges with enrollments between 2,500 and 4,999 students. CCC was the only Arizona community college to be listed in its size category.

    The College’s service region provides higher education throughout the second largest county in the United States and the largest in Arizona. With an 18,661 square mile footprint that spans the Grand Canyon and five national forests; no less than ten separate and distinct Native American tribal nations that constitute 27.3% of a total population of 134,421 persons; an 18% poverty rate; and 13,000 people ages 16 and older who do not have a high school diploma, CCC is the only community college serving Coconino County and the only institution of higher education providing workforce development) training in the region. Since the inception of the College’s Division of Community & Corporate Learning in 2007, 31 organizations and 1,557 non-credit learners from business and industry have participated in workforce development training. With respect to the healthcare industry alone, CCL delivers training to Flagstaff Medical Center, North Country Healthcare, Northern Arizona Healthcare, Mountain Heart Medical Group, and W.L. Gore.

    Higher education is provided at the original Fourth Street Campus and Technology Center, the Flagstaff Lone Tree Campus and District Offices, and the Page/Lake Powell Campus. The College also maintains Learning Centers in Fredonia, Grand Canyon, Tuba City, and Williams enabling students with on-site, interactive television and web-based learning opportunities. CCC currently offers 35 Associates degree programs (most of which transfer to one or all of Arizona’s three universities), 24 certificates, and 599 credit-bearing courses provided by 261 total number of full time and adjunct faculty and supported by 104 administrative and support staff.

    The College, fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association, is recognized by the Lumina Foundation for setting a national example of improving access, retention and college completion though a unique partnership with neighboring Northern Arizona University.

  • History:
  • When Coconino Community College (CCC) first opened its doors in Flagstaff in 1991, nearly 1,000 students enrolled. Almost 20 years later, the College has experienced an astounding growth rate and today, serves nearly 10,000 citizens per year with three main campuses: the original Fourth Street Campus and Technology Center; the Flagstaff Lone Tree Campus and District Offices; and Page/Lake Powell Campus. The College also offers classes in Fredonia, Grand Canyon, Tuba City, and Williams.

    In the last twenty years, the College has educated 65,000 unduplicated headcount.
