Programs offered include Caregiver Support groups, individual counseling, a safety program and educational conferences.

  • History:
  • The Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer's REsource Center, Inc.m a non-profit organization, was established in 1995 by a group of dedicated Lee County professionals who work directly with individuales with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers. Prior to the development of this center in Fort Myers, caregivers traveled to Naples to obtain assistance and support to cope with the daily challenges of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder. The viability of an office in Lee County was guaranteed when Mrs. Zelda Dubin made a generous donation in memory of her husband, Alvin A. Dubin. In appreciation of the gift, the Board of Directors unanimously voted to name the corporation the Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer's Resource Center, Inc.

The Dubin Alzheimer's Resource Center provides education, information and support to individuales with Alzheimer's disease or related memory impairment and their caregivers through inforrmation and referral, consulatation, health education and crisis intervention.
