  • Mission:
  • The abbreviated mission statement of the University states its primary purpose, a statement that integrates faith, values, ethics and a commitment to service: "…to conduct regular four-year college courses in education, music, sciences, and the liberal arts, grant certificates, diplomas, and any and all honorary degrees…" The University continuously evaluates its programs in an effort to provide graduates for the Inland Empire (the area of Southern California roughly comprising San Bernardino and Riverside Counties) who will help meet the area’s greatest needs. The most recent additions to meet those needs are the School of Nursing (approved by the Board of Registered Nursing in 2005) and the School of Engineering, which accepted its first students this fall.

  • History:
  • CBU is a private university of about 3,800 students, located in Riverside, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles. CBU is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and offers bachelor’s degree programs (45 majors) and existing master’s degree programs in Psychology, English, Kinesiology, Business, Education, Music, Nursing, Forensic Psychology and Public Administration.
