  • Mission:
  • Through its focus on providing support, building friendships, and serving the community, Charlotte Mothers of Multiples will provide a variety of valuable support services to families with multiple birth children in order to help them thrive, not just survive, in their efforts to care for their multiple birth children.

  • Overview:
  • CMOMs is an organization which you will be proud to support. Founded in 1960, CMOMs is a non-profit organization supporting families of twins, triplets or quads that currently serves over 500 families in the greater Charlotte area. Support services include parental support programs, information and equipment exchanges, social support networks, educational opportunities and scholarship programs. Additionally, we work with area hospitals and doctors to promote awareness of multiple births and provide support for their patients.

Twice per year, CMOMs awards need-based scholarships to members and their children to assist with special health, educational, or recreational needs. All proceeds from our auction benefit this program, and examples of the types of needs that are met include, but are not limited to:
    • Physical equipment to help improve quality of daily life
    • Occupational, speech or physical therapy to assist children who are developmentally delayed
    • Higher education fees for members and/or their children

  • History:
  • CMOMs, which just celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, has been a wonderful resource and support system for not only its 600+ members in the Greater Charlotte area through its community outreach, scholarship and member assistance programs, but also contributes a great amount of support to local charities such as the March of Dimes, Race for Fetal Hope and the area NICUs.
