  • Mission:
  • It is our intent to serve our communities as a resource to assist individuals and families to achieve levels of function more conducive to their well-being physically, mentally, financially, and spiritually. We will function in direct services delivery and in a network capacity to connect families to appropriate community services and sources of support. We will assist individuals and families in transition from a level of deficit to a foundation based on informed choices and enlightened options.

  • Overview:
  • Our initial scope of work projected over the next five years evolves through a progression of three components - Inaugural, Incubation and Indigenous phases – during which, as an organization, we will begin our efficacy in the community with commitment, devotion and strategic planning to become a thriving resource foundation fully supported by the communities we serve.

Inaugural Phase – (Years 1-2/2012-14): Organizational activities framework around establishing collaborations with other community entities and individuals with similar interests and services to provide assistance to youth and families. Since its inception, ‘NFAITH365 has established effective working relationships within the community with Beech Grove Baptist Church CDF Freedom School, Abounding Love Ministries (STARS Summer and Afterschool programs), Young Positive Minds, Life of Faith Outreach Ministries, Inc., Redemptorist and Sharon Hills Elementary Schools, Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation, East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Southern University Nutrition Education Department and community conscientious individuals.
We are proud and excited to have been approved by the Children’s Defense Fund to implement their nationally recognized and acclaimed Integrated Reading Curriculum at our Freedom School located at Sharon Hills Elememtary School this summer. Six weeks of lesson plans are developed to help staff and children reflect on the themes I Can Make a Difference in: My Self, My Family, My Community, My Country, and My World with Hope, Education and Action. Additionally each participant will engage in interactive activities to include common core curriculum, music and the arts, healthy eating habits, engaging physical activities and thought provoking enrichment activities.

Incubation Phase – (Year 3/2015-16): Our plan is to continue the implementation of the CDF Freedom School Program and increase the number of sites to expose more children to the very positive experiences which foster successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities. Additionally, we will implement after school programs, “Chain Reaction”, which will provide affirming support to bridge gaps identified in academic and routine aspects of the lives of the children who participate on a consistent basis.

Indigenous Phase – (Years 4-5/2017-19) - We plan to emerge as a community based site to function in direct services delivery and as a referral resource. We will effect positive change in the community by advocating and demonstrating benefits of sound education, encouraging family and community unity and promoting self-efficacy to empower the community and individuals to attain and maintain productive lifestyles.

  • History:
