  • Mission:
  • College Bridge envisions a seamless P-20 educational system where students graduate from high school ready to matriculate in college without any academic or financial barriers. We visualize a future where students persist through graduation and enter the workforce prepared for 21st century careers. College Bridge is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

  • Overview:
  • Access to a college education is critical for improving people’s quality of life and society as a whole. On average, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree will result in $2.8 million in earned wages over a lifetime. Society also benefits from an educated population with a robust economy, stronger civic engagement, and lower levels of crime, poverty, and healthcare costs 1. Unfortunately, college graduation rates for under-represented students (first-generation, low-income, students of color) are decreasing in comparison to white, non-Hispanic students even though students of color make up the nation’s fastest growing demographic 2. In addition, every year 1.7 million students nationwide place in remedial college classes 3 at a staggering cost to states and the Federal government of $3 billion 4. Of these students, less than one-third of them graduated within six years 5. It is because College Bridge refuses to accept these dismal statistics that we are committed to meeting and scaling-up our mission.

  • History:
  • College Bridge designs and implements comprehensive academic and counseling services for students of all ages and their families through funding we secure from federal, state and private foundations. Unlike other college access non-profits, College Bridge does not only focus on high school juniors and seniors — instead we concentrate on the entire P20 pipeline. We employ the long view of college access and persistence recognizing that college readiness does not begin in high school but instead it starts as young as Pre-K. Therefore we work to prepare students academically for post secondary education as early as possible always involving families and communities every step of the way.

An organization is only as good as its people. That’s why we are proud of the fact that our entire team consists of life long educators with advanced degrees in their fields and extensive expertise in academic interventions and accelerations. We take education very seriously and only work with people that share our mission and sense of urgency.

In addition, we literally bridge PreK-12 and higher education institutions through the partnerships we develop that prepare students for college level work and promise them acceptance and direct access to college level courses upon matriculation. This is how we ameliorate the dismal rates of students that graduate from high school college ready and help colleges and universities save the billions of dollars they have to spend on remedial education.

Our overarching objective is to build capacity at each organization while scaling up our impact through our P-20 pipeline partnerships.
