  • Mission:
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County helps children achieve success in life. As a donor supported, volunteer driven organization, BBBSBC provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better. Children in our program gain greater confidence, stay in school, have higher aspirations, avoid risky behaviors and achieve educational success.

  • Overview:
  • Our Community Based Program (traditional mentoring program), is designed to match an adult mentor and a child enrolled in our program. These matches are supported by a professional staff member from BBBSBC. Matches are monitored and tracked for child safety, attaining of goals and overcoming any obstacles so that the child achieves success in life. Last year BBBSBC provided services for nearly 1400 children. However, we have 500 children currently on our waiting list with 100 screened and awaiting a match to a mentor. The cost approximately $1200 per year to sustain a match.
