  • Mission:
  • The Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) has been assisting parents, child care providers, employers, and local communities in all matters related to child care since 1976. For over 30 years, our mission has been guided by our belief that our social and economic future depends on the quality of a young child’s experiences.
Mission: CCRC promotes optimal child development and family well-being through access to quality child care, family support, economic development, and community education.

  • History:
  • Upon formal incorporation in 1976, the Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) began providing child care Resource and Referral (R&R) services with an average of 60 requests per month from parents needing assistance in their search for licensed caregivers. In that same year, a grant from the California Department of Education allowed CCRC to begin providing financial support to help low-income families pay for the cost of their child care.
Fast forward through a phenomenal growth period in both programs and staff, changes in leadership and new locations to the Fall of 2002. CCRC’s purpose is to provide support and resources for families seeking independence, stability and early education opportunities for their children as well as provide advocacy and support for the child care industry and its working professionals. CCRC actively provides monetary support for child care while parents work or attend school all in a concerted effort to assist families in becoming self-sufficient with the added benefit of free learning opportunities for children and their caregivers.
