  • The Asa Wright Nature Centre comprises of 1500 hectares across the Arima and Aripo Valleys in Trinidad's northern mountain range. The Centre operates as an ecotourism site, welcoming international and local visitors. The main visiting site is on a former coffee and citrus plantation known as Spring Hill Estate.

  • History:
  • Mrs. Asa Wright sold the land in 1967 to be established as a "Not-For-Profit" trust, making it one of the first nature centres in the Caribbean; thus ensuring the continued conservation of this section of the rainforest. The nature centre was one of the first Spring Hill Estate was originally built in 1908, and now serves as the headquarters of Asa Wright's operation.
